A year ago today I started working for myself, just little ole me. Yes I’ve been doing this same job for 30 odd years and I did have my own business before but as a partnership which grew bigger than we could handle and we merged with another company to give us room to expand. It’s all a bit complicated really! But this time last year I legged it to start working on my own again for various, boring reasons, and here I am a year later still alive and busier than ever. Thanks everybody who has stuck with me and for all the work that’s found it’s way to my desk.
Just been sorting my advert for the North Walsham Fun Day programme 2017.
It’s a great feeling to know you have worked in partnership with other companies consistently for many, many years. In web design one of the biggest concerns I hear is; “if I ask you to look after my website, how do I know you’ll still be able to look after it in 10 years time?”. It’s all about customer confidence. Of course nobody can say for sure what’s round the corner but you can look at the history of a business or tradesman to get a feel for their reliability and loyalty. Here’s another customer I have been working with in various design projects since 1986 🙂
Just completed my first month back in business working for myself and all I can say is thank you to everybody for the support. Work has been full on since day one! Thanks to staff at East Coast (my previous employer) for all their assistance in transferring the hosting accounts and customer details across from East Coast’s control to mine. Thanks to all my existing customers for having the patience to stick with me during the transfer. It’s all gone pretty smoothly and the odd hiccup has been small and easily controlled with the cooperation of customers and suppliers. Couldn’t have hoped for better.
Documents came through this morning. Now officially a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.
